Things to Do at the Festival

So, you want to know what to do at the Sarasota Medieval Fair? Each weekend offers some exciting events that won’t always be repeated the other weekends. You can see Cu Dubh perform on Nov. 3rd and 4th. Their eccentric and crazy attitude is just what you need to appreciate the music the knights enjoyed. Watch as the group dresses in full garb and performs with drums, flutes, and less-traditional classic instruments.

You can also watch a famous juggling show. Dubbed “the Harmless Juggler,” the show features such harmless juggling items as a saw, a few torture devices, a saw on fire, and more. It’s all safe…kind of.
You can go on a pub crawl, visit the artisan marketplace, jump atop the wheel of death, and watch the knights perform. Pub crawl tickets are separate from normal admission. The website features a full list of scheduled pubs, drinks, prices, and more.

None of this would be fun without the best fair food at renaissance festivals. You have plenty of festival foods to grab from the many Sarasota medieval fair vendors. The most popular are the jumbo chicken wings. They speak for themselves.

This is an all-encompassing and ambitious medieval fair near Tampa, and this isn’t even all of it. Find specific performances each weekend and watch as the kids fall in love with every little piece of entertainment.
