The Cottage
The Cottage is your quintessential beach shack. It’s a quieter spot overall, but the place also comes to life with live music from various locals. Lunch is the perfect time for families. There’s plenty to try, including Mumbai Chicken and the Jumbo Crab Cake.
The Cottage restaurant is well-versed in food from different cultures, offering Farm-to-Fusion dishes with culinary influences captured from many different parts of the world. The Big Island Tuna Poke is inspired by Hawaii’s poke sauce, and the Billionaire Burger is a signature item topped with Tillamook aged cheddar. The menu will please kids who love to taste new food adventures.
Gilligan’s Island Bar and Grill
Gilligan’s Island and Bar has everything you could come to hope for out a beach-themed restaurant. Tiki poles light up the summer décor and a big bar sits by an open patio space. There’s even a large bright green 1950’s van sitting in the restaurant. It’s fun, it’s silly, and it has a menu that anyone can enjoy, from coconut shrimp to fish tacos.
The kids’ menu includes all the major staples: chicken fingers and burgers. The restaurant is open late, and past 10 pm it often becomes a DJ space with a late night happy hour. It’s perfectly kid-friendly during the day. They even offer private parties, including birthdays for kids of all ages.
Another Broken Egg
With banana pancakes, famously soft beignets, and an extensive menu served right in the heart of Siesta Village, and you have the ingredients for possibly the best breakfast or brunch experience on the island. Another Broken Egg is welcoming to families of all culinary preferences who are seeking a tasty and personalized breakfast or brunch during their Siesta Key stay.
The team just launched a brand new menu, including Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes and Peach Cobbler Pancakes. For non-pancake related delights, try a Cajun Louisiana Crawfish omelet or a Crab Cake Benedict. Be sure to check out the Kids Menu too!
The one catch is that Broken Egg Café is exclusively open for breakfast and brunch. They open at 7 am and close up for the day at 2 pm. Don’t miss this perfect start to your day, which happens to be located near several vacation rentals on the island.
Toasted Mango Café
Siesta Key loves small café ambiance and independent businesses. The Toasted Mango Café offers exactly that for families, as a delightful place to eat breakfast or brunch. Their homemade biscuits and corned beef hash draw in locals. The mango butter is a frequently-requested treat, and something locals know all about.

The restaurant does close at 3 pm, so arrive early to indulge in the many unique breakfast, lunch, and smoothie options. There are two locations, with one in Sarasota at 430 N Tamiami Trail and the other on the southern end of Siesta Key at 6621 Midnight Pass Rd.
