Brant’s Used Book is a cute little bookstore located in Sarasota that has a wide variety of amazing books to choose from. They are constantly accepting donations of used books to widen their collection. 

The most interesting part of this bookstore is its backstory. The store was opened in 1956 and was housed in an original Army barracks that was built in 1942. Some of the barracks were turned into homes, but most were converted into business areas for the returning soldiers. It was originally meant to be an antique and used bookstore.

Shelf Indulgence Used Book Café

With a plethora of used books to choose from, there is something in every genre available. Their knowledgeable staff are standing by ready to help you find your next book to get completely lost in. Bookstore1 in Sarasota is your typical bookstore with amazing prices and deals, various book clubs, and lots of events going on through the year. While they don’t deal in second-hand books, they are sure to have a book that is right up your alley. Check them out if you’re in the area and are looking for something to do. Parker’s Books & Book Bazaar

If you’re more interested in browsing through some rare titles and collectible publications, then you are in for a treat visiting Parker’s Books and Book Bazaar. This book shop is home to more than 70,000 books and has a decent collection of rare artifacts and collectibles that you won’t find anywhere else. 

For those bibliophiles out there, the sweet and sour smell of old paper getting older will keep you browsing for hours. With the many guests that the store brings in, all customers leave with something that they hadn’t even been looking for to begin with. You might go in hoping to find something to pass the time, but you might end up finding an old beat up copy of your favorite book.
