Holiday Lighting Competition

The annual Holiday Lighting Competition on Siesta Key was held on December 14th this year. The contest is sponsored by the Siesta Key Condominium Council, the Siesta Key Village Association and the Chamber of Commerce.

Representatives from the three groups hopped on a trolley at Terrace West to travel around the island and judge the contestants, which included 22 condos, up 14 from last year.

According to Joe Volpe of the Siesta Key Association, judging got off to a slow start. As they cruised past Peppertree Bay (*wink *wink), the excitement of the judges quickly perked up. Both sides of the street were decked out with holiday lights on the lawn, wrapped around trees, and more.

So… who won?

Well, deck the halls with boughs of holly and have a very merry Christmas, Peppertree Bay!!! We’ll be back again next year!
