For fans of the performing arts, here are the most important centers near our Siesta Key vacation rentals.

Florida Studio Theatre

Since 1973, the Florida Studio Theatre has been providing high-quality, contemporary theatre. It is located in the heart of downtown Sarasota, and its campus is comprised of numerous small theatres, each with its own architecture and style. The theatres are small in size to create an intimate and engaging setting for actors and audiences. FST has grown with a budget of over $6 million and over 30,000 subscribers a year, the third largest in the nation. Its popularity and success are not unfounded – staff and performers work hard to ensure only the best for audiences of all backgrounds.

Check out Florida Studio Theatre’s online calendar to see what shows will be available during your visit. Tickets can be booked online. The theatre campus is located at 1241 North Palm Avenue.

The Players Centre for Performing Arts

The Players Center for Performing Arts provides quality productions of mainstage classics for the community of Sarasota. As Southern Florida is a hub for retirees, many talented professionals have moved to the area and joined our cast. These professionals bring their talent and expertise to productions as well as education programs. Classes in acting, singing, and dancing are available for all levels in group classes, workshops, and private lessons.

Check out their upcoming shows and visit the center at 838 N Tamiami Trail.

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe

Since 1999, the Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe has served as a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to producing professional theatre that promotes and celebrates the African-American experience. Their performances champion diversity and inclusion, capturing a perspective that is often excluded by more traditional theatre. In addition to their shows, the troupe provides mentorship and support to developing African-American artists and youth.

Visit one of their shows and support their work at 1012 N Orange Ave. Tickets are $45 for adults and $20 for students and active military.
